So, to get to the point has anyone successfully emulated NES and SNES on their HTC One's without frameskipping, slowdowns and/or sound jittering? If so, I'd like to know how you do it. It seems to me, especially noticeable in RetroArch, that there's one, or more, background processes that hogs a lot of the resources. Besides, the HTC One should be more than powerful enough for emulating both NES and (most) SNES games at 100% full speed. use snesoid ,fpse(ps1),n64oid(n64),or mupen64 ae they work best iv tested extensivly on many devices and have good speeds (most of the time depends on game). Just like with the, it was redesigned as the SNES and released one year later in Augin the US, retailing for 199.99. I've had several Android phones in the past and I seem to remember they could handle SNES emulation a lot better than this. If you copy over your saved image it should rewrite the config files to its out of the box condition and work fine. The Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES), known as the Super Famicom in Japan, is a 16-bit fourth-generation home video-game console released by Nintendo on Novemin Japan. I am only using NTSC (60hz) ROMs of course. In RetroArch the scrolling is smooth, but I get occasional slowdowns with sound stuttering and frame drops. In Snes9x EX the scrolling just isn't smooth and the sound occasionally skips. I'm not even trying to play SuperFX games (like Star Fox), but "simple-to-emulate" games like Super Turrican, Metroid, Super Mario World etc. I'm a retro gaming geek, so one of the reasons I just swapped my iPhone 5 for a HTC One, is because I can run emulators without jailbreaking/rooting.Īnyways, I have installed both Snes9x EX and RetroArch, but both emulators really suffer in every game. So I recently got my HTC One, currently updated with Android 2.2. Its the next best thing to hanging out together. Thank you to everyone involved in making this mod, the nostalgia factor.Įdit: Should add that this is on a Windows 10 PC.Hi guys, this is my very first post here on AndroidCentral. You can use voice chat in these games via the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app. I should also note that turning off PPU (fast video) in bsnes doesn't fix it either, and I've heard that turning off those enhancements is the closest thing we have to legit emulation. 198 Save 23K views 5 years ago This video like my first video, shows what I believe to be the best visual/graphics settings for the snes emulator for Android which gives you close to the. Screenshots will help, but I wanted to ask, what emulator do we all use? Is this issue known? Are there some settings that I've overlooked that may fix it? Enabling the remove sprite limit option in bsnes fixes the spells but causes other issues (jumping characters will show up on top of the menu/stats section of the screen in battles) I've tested snes9x and bsnes, both have the issue. which we compiled a list of the best snes9x ex+ settings products according to Consumer. I plan to add some screenshots to this thread tonight but I wanted to start a discussion about which emulator, which settings, etc. There arent certain settings you need for nestopia that are required for smb1 that I can think of, but I do recommend turning off vsync so your fps doesnt. Snes9x sound settings Snes9x ps3 controller how to Yes I can be. It almost looks like screen tearing on the spell effect sprites. Love this mod! I'm having difficulty getting rid of the sprite flicker issues that happen during things like spell animations.
